Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They secured a 44-40 W over the Fuqua Falcons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-42 two weeks ago.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Molly Hamner led the charge by putting up 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The match was Hamner's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Addison Dowdy, who posted 16 points.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Fuqua, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot will face off against Southampton Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fuqua, they will challenge Westover Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
