            Basketball Recap: Peyton Panthers vs. Fountain Valley Danes        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Strasburg, Peyton was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They strolled past the Fountain Valley Danes with  points to spare, taking the game  59-45. Peyton's win was all the more impressive since the Danes were averaging only 25 points allowed on the season.
It was another big night for  Michael Perry, who  went 7 for 15  on his way to 18  points and eight  assists. The team also got some help courtesy of  Trent Gregg, who  went 7 of 9  on his way to 14  points.

 Perry wasn't the only one working in the  assists department: Peyton was working as a unit and  finished the game with 18  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Despite the loss, Fountain Valley still got an impressive performance from   Ke Shen, who  posted 17 points. The dominant performance gave  Shen a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Asa Almgren, who  had nine points.
Peyton has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Fountain Valley,  with the  loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-1.
 Peyton will head out to  face off against Simla  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Simla knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Peyton likes a good challenge. As for Fountain Valley, they will welcome Manitou Springs  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Fountain Valley's defense has only allowed 25  points per game  this season, so Manitou Springs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
