Football Recap: Dyzhir Usher and Marlin Jeffries Lead the Defense for North Chicago Win

Grayslake North came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against North Chicago, but Marlin Jeffries wouldn't allow it. The Warhawks walked away with a 28-16 win over the Knights on Friday with plenty of help from Jeffries, who picked up 164 receiving yards and four scores. His longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards.

North Chicago didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dyzhir Usher and Jeffries.

The victory made it two in a row for North Chicago and bumps their season record up to 3-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.5 points over those games. As for Grayslake North, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

As of now, neither North Chicago nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
