Basketball Recap: Divine Child Comes Up Short

Divine Child came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Central Catholic Fighting Irish, falling 53-33. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 63-33 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Divine Child has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-15 record this season.

Divine Child wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-41 victory against Thurston on the 11th. As for Central Catholic, they will head out to challenge Bowsher at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bowsher will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Central Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
