Volleyball Game Preview: Lebanon Yellowjackets vs. Kickapoo Chiefs

Lebanon hasn't had much luck against Kickapoo recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will head out to face off against the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Tuesday, Lebanon came up short against Waynesville and fell 3-1.

While Lebanon ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 19-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Lebanon might have lost, but man, Player #2 was a machine: she had 26 digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Kickapoo didn't have quite enough to beat Republic on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Kickapoo actually scored more points across those five sets (109-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 26-24, 7-25, 25-23, 18-25, 15-12.

Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 8-14-1. As for Kickapoo, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.

Lebanon couldn't quite get it done against Kickapoo in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
