The Temple Christian Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Pantego Christian Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Temple Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Temple Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Pantego Christian 15-5. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Avery McElligott made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Temple Christian let Brooke Herak and Kamar Benneji run wild. Herak scored three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Benneji scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Herak has posted since back in February of 2024. Cathy Jo Ricks was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Temple Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Temple Christian's record is now 2-3. As for Pantego Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
