Softball Recap: Boulder City Comes Up Short

Boulder City came into this matchup off a tough 13-run defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Mountain View Bruins by a score of 8-6 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 5, 2024.

Hayden Nordstrom was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Kylie Czubernat was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Boulder City hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive matches.

Boulder City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mountain View, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Boulder City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Western at 3:30 p.m. on March 24th. As for Mountain View, they will challenge Green Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
