Softball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-3 to the Wayne Badgers. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Badgers this season, with their most recent loss being a 19-3 defeat on Tuesday.

Monticello saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marli Snyder, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was Snyder's first of the season.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Wayne, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Badgers beat Monticello by a score of 19-3 later that day.
