Softball Game Preview: Hornbeck Hornets vs. Hackberry Mustangs

For the second straight game, Hornbeck will face off against Hackberry. The Hornets will challenge the Mustangs on Saturday. Hornbeck is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Thursday, Hornbeck was able to grind out a solid victory over Hackberry, taking the game 14-10.

For Hackberry's part, Harmony Bodie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kynlin Moore, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Hornbeck pushed their record up to 6-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Hackberry, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.
