Volleyball Recap: Ozaukee Comes Up Short

Ozaukee lost against Oostburg back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors came up short against the Flying Dutchmen, falling 3-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-5, 25-14.

Kennedy Brown paced Ozaukee's offense, picking up five kills. Brown got some help from Helen Utecht and her 13 assists.

Oostburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brianna Dana led the charge by getting 14 assists and five digs. Dana is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Ozaukee now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Oostburg, their win bumped their record up to 19-12.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Ozaukee and Wayland Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oostburg, they will venture away from home to challenge Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th.
