Basketball Recap: Benton Falls Short of Sterlington in the Playoffs

Benton and Sterlington squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Benton had to settle for second. They took a hard 60-45 fall against the Sterlington Panthers. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cooper Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sterlington, going 8-for-15 on his way to 29 points along with eight assists and seven boards. Nelson's evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Noah Crain was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 18-23. As for Sterlington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-17.

As of now, neither Benton nor Sterlington have any future games scheduled.
