Volleyball Recap: Clovis West Comes Up Short

Clovis West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Liberty Lions.

Clovis West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Liberty, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Clovis West will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clovis at 6:30 p.m. on the 9th. The last three games the Cougars have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Liberty, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Pittsburg on the 2nd.
