Soccer Game Preview: Hanna vs. San Benito

Hanna is on a three-game streak of home losses, and San Benito a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Hanna Golden Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the San Benito Greyhounds at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Hanna challenged Los Fresnos on Tuesday. Hanna came up short against Los Fresnos, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 466th, while the Falcons are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, San Benito was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to Harlingen.

San Benito's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Hanna, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Everything went Hanna's way against San Benito when the teams last played on February 4th, as Hanna made off with a 7-3 win. Will Hanna repeat their success, or does San Benito have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
