Softball Recap: Louisa County Lions vs. Monticello Mustangs
Louisa County fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Monticello on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 6-1 to the Mustangs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 3, 2022, but that streak is no more.
Lily Ruckle was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk).
