Basketball Recap: Gardner-South Wilmington Takes a Loss

Gardner-South Wilmington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grace Christian Academy Crusaders. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Gardner-South Wilmington's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Grace Christian Academy, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gardner-South Wilmington will face off against Grant Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grace Christian Academy, they will challenge Illinois Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
