Basketball Game Preview: Proviso West Panthers vs. York Dukes

Proviso West is 1-9 against York since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Proviso West Panthers will venture away from home to take on the York Dukes at 7:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Proviso West took a blow against Downers Grove North, falling 75-43.

Meanwhile, York posted their closest win since January 10th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lyons, sneaking past 52-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dukes.

York's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-13. As for Proviso West, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Proviso West beat York 72-62 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Proviso West since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
