Volleyball Recap: Carlin Railroaders vs. Eureka Vandals
Carlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Eureka Vandals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vandals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
While Carlin was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Eureka's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-20.
Carlin's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Eureka, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Carlin is set to face off against their familiar foe McDermitt at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eureka will challenge rival Wells at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
