Softball Recap: Blue Ridge Comes Up Short

Blue Ridge lost to Delavan back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Knights fell 9-6 to the Panthers. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Karlee Fenton made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. RJ Coffey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Delavan, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-16.

Looking ahead, Blue Ridge will square off against Arcola at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Delavan has already played their next matchup (against Shelbyville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
