Baseball Recap: Hico Tigers vs. Dawson Bulldogs
Hico saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell just short of the Dawson Bulldogs by a score of 9-8. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wyatt Honea was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-2. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cade Branquinho, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Even though they lost, Hico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Hico's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1. As for Dawson, their record now sits at 3-1.
