Softball Recap: Rehobeth's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Rehobeth waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Brantley Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. 15 seems to be a good number for the Rebels as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Alex Cobb made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Shelby Davis was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Kryslin Martin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Rehobeth hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.

Rehobeth pushed their record up to 13-12-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Brantley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rehobeth will take on Russell County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brantley, they will head out to square off against Elba at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
