Football Recap: Southeast Bulloch Comes Up Short on the Road Against Statesboro + How To Watch

Southeast Bulloch kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 21-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Statesboro Blue Devils. The Yellow Jackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Statesboro's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keon Childers led the charge by rushing for 141 yards and one score. Beckham Jarrard helped out on the ground, rushing for 84 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Southeast Bulloch and Islands will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th. This will be the Yellow Jackets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Statesboro, they will head out to face off against Veterans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
