Football Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Elmira/Southside

Elmira/Southside won the last time they faced Rome Free Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Express walked away with a 21-14 win over the Black Knights. Given the Express' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Black Knights are ranked 304th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.6 points over those games. As for Rome Free Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
