            Softball Preview: Hug Hawks vs. Truckee Wolverines        
        
		
        
        
            The Hug Hawks will take on the Truckee Wolverines at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Things were looking good for Hug after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took  an  8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sparks.
  Victoria Oppmann made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with one  home run. That  home run was  her first of the season.  Alessandra Barrientos was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run.
 Meanwhile, Truckee fell victim to North Valleys and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They lost  19-0 to the Panthers. The Wolverines' defeat continues a  trend for the  squad, making it three in a row.
 Hug's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Truckee, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Hug's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's   game. The Hawks have been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 4.6  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Truckee, though, as  they've been averaging  an even more impressive 1.3  stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Hug continue to outrun the ball?
