Basketball Recap: Spartanburg Wins Going Away Against Eastside

Spartanburg posted their biggest win since January 17th on Thursday. They blew past the Eastside Eagles 66-46. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 62-50 loss.

Despite the defeat, Eastside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brandon Ray went 10-for-22 en route to 24 points. Another player making a difference was Carter Driscoll, who posted ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Spartanburg and bumps their season record up to 11-15. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Eastside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Spartanburg nor Eastside have any future games scheduled.
