Football Recap: Mariana Leifheit Leads Mission Viejo's Defense on Saturday

Saturday just wasn't the day for Mission Viejo's offense. They fell 6-0 to the Foothill Knights on Saturday. The Diablos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 12-6.

Even if they lost, Mission Viejo's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Mariana Leifheit was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two herself.

Mission Viejo moved to 6-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Foothill, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
