Basketball Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Hamilton and Lakeland Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hamilton had to settle for second. They fell 60-49 to the Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars. The Marines' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it 15 in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakeland Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Micah Martin, who posted 26 points. The contest was Martin's eighth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Rice, who earned 17 points.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-13.

Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, they will face off against Fort Wayne Canterbury at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland Christian Academy will be up against Fort Wayne Canterbury's rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.95 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
