Volleyball Recap: Allen Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Allen Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Faith West Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20, 25-6.

Leading Faith West Academy to victory were Giuliana Wiltz and Skylar Wardlow. Wiltz had six digs and five aces, while Wardlow hit 83.3% for 15 kills and four aces and one block. Wardlow has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 15 times she's played.

Allen Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for Faith West Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3-2 record this season.

Allen Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against St. Joseph Catholic on the 23rd. As for Faith West Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Houston Adventist Academy on the 21st.
