Basketball Recap: Arborbrook Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Arborbrook Christian Academy lost against Grace Academy back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Arborbrook Christian Academy Falcons were outmatched by the Grace Academy Lions and fell 73-41.

Despite the loss, Arborbrook Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ezra Briles posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Evan Still, who put up four points.

Grace Academy was led to victory by Carson Payne and Evan Buslovich. Payne had 18 points and three steals, while Buslovich earned 11 points and six steals. The game was Payne's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Borans, who posted ten points and six boards.

Arborbrook Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Grace Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arborbrook Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence Classical at 5:30 p.m. on January 13, 2025. As for Grace Academy, they will host Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
