Baseball Recap: IMG Academy Gray Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for IMG Academy Gray, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let the Inspiration Academy Lions get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Friday. The Ascenders haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Petyon Miller made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March.

Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Johnson Dubose, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

IMG Academy Gray pushed their record up to 15-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Inspiration Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7.
