Baseball Game Preview: Lely Trojans vs. Southwest Florida Christian King's

The Lely Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Southwest Florida Christian King at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lely has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Southwest Florida Christian will arrive with three straight victories.

Lely came up short against Gateway on Friday, falling 8-1.

Lely saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Karl, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases. Karl is becoming a predictor of the Trojans' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 1-14 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Southwest Florida Christian was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They walked away with an 8-5 win over South Fort Myers.

Southwest Florida Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Lely, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Lely couldn't quite get it done against Southwest Florida Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 as they fell 7-4. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
