Idaho City and Notus are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will host the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Idaho City's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five games.

Idaho City will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Garden Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Wolverines on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Notus and Garden Valley meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Pirates came up short against the Wolverines, falling 22-13. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (ten), the Pirates still had to take the loss.

Fatima Alvarez and Cierra Norris stepped up to the plate in a big way. Alvarez scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Norris scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Norris is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Victoria Zamora was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Idaho City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.2 runs over those games. As for Notus, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything went Idaho City's way against Notus in their previous meeting on Saturday, as Idaho City made off with a 33-2 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
