Volleyball Recap: Ballard Triumphs

The Ballard Bruins earned a 2-0 win over the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

Marleigh Tripp paced Ballard's offense, picking up seven kills. Tripp were helped by Ruby Tennen and Gabbi Stintson, who contributed eight assists each. Tripp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Ballard's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Newport Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Ballard has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Madison Central on the 13th. As for Newport Central Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cooper on the 13th.
