Rosewood came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Spring Creek, but Nathan Jackson wouldn't allow it. The Spring Creek Gators greeted the New Year with with a 66-48 win over the Rosewood Eagles thanks in part to Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.
Josh Lewis was another key player, putting up two points and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryson Hobbs, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Spring Creek will head out to take on North Johnston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Spring Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. As for Rosewood, they will host East Duplin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
