Recap: Perry Panthers vs. Green Bulldogs
The Perry Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a rough 56-34 defeat at the hands of Green. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Perry has scored all season.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drake Jacobsen, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Dazey, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Perry struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Perry bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Green, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will finish 2023 at home by hosting Indian Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Indian Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Perry in Ohio (Indian Valley is ranked 106th, while Perry is ranked 480th). As for Green, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Solon at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Solon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 259 points over their last four matches.
