Volleyball Recap: Peotone Takes a Loss

Peotone lost against Wilmington on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16.

Wilmington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sami Liaromatis out in front who had 12 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Billingsley, who had four assists and three aces.

Peotone's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Wilmington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Peotone is set to face off against their familiar foe Lisle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wilmington will take on rival Herscher at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
