Wachusett Regional hadn't done well against Algonquin Regional recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Mountaineers walked away with  a   3-1  win over the Titans. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Mountaineers.
 Wachusett Regional was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 17-25, 25-15,  25-13.
Wachusett Regional can attribute much of their success to  Julia Vettese, who  had eight  digs and four  aces.  Ella Darrow also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assist of the season.
 They weren't the only good servers: Wachusett Regional  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 13  aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Algonquin Regional only  served two.
Wachusett Regional's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Algonquin Regional, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the  loss, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Wachusett Regional didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-1  defeat against Westborough on the 10th. As for Algonquin Regional, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  3-0  loss against Shrewsbury on the 10th.
