Baseball Game Preview: Newark Reds vs. Red Jacket

The Newark Reds will challenge Red Jacket at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Newark will be strutting in after a victory while Red Jacket will be coming in after a loss.

Newark was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over Geneva. The victory was some much needed relief for the Reds as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Red Jacket's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Naples.

Newark's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Red Jacket, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Newark skirted past Red Jacket 3-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Reds have another victory up their sleeve, or will Red Jacket turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
