Soccer Game Preview: Lynbrook vs. Cupertino

The Lynbrook Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Cupertino Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lynbrook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Lynbrook took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against MacDonald, sneaking past 3-2. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-12-3), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

They hit MacDonald with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Preston Kao, Reagan Markert, and Ethan Zou.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Cupertino was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to Monta Vista.

Cupertino's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lynbrook, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
