Football Recap: Johnson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Johnson fell victim to Chestatee and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the War Eagles 62-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the War Eagles are ranked 209th).

Chestatee had a senior duo take command as Benjamin Plemons rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns and Blake Conner rushed for 93 yards and a pair of TDs. Plemons showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 59 yards. Yohann Reyna got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Chestatee, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Johnson will challenge rival Dawson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Chestatee is set to face off against their familiar foe Pickens at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Plemons and Ike Wyngaard.
