Football Game Preview: Farmersville Farmers vs. Bonham Warriors

The Farmersville Farmers will head out on the road to challenge the Bonham Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Farmersville will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.

Bonham better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Farmersville's game last Friday is any indication, that's when Farmersville really gets things going. The Farmers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gainesville 49-13. The Farmers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jr Reyes was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 104 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries.

Farmersville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Amare Warren.

Meanwhile, Bonham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 55-35 to Gainesville. Even if the Warriors couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Farmersville's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bonham, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Farmersville against Bonham in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Farmers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
