Basketball Recap: Prairie View Comes Up Short

The matchup between Prairie View and Wellsville on Tuesday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Prairie View Buffalos were outmatched by the Wellsville Eagles and fell 94-21. While losing is never fun, the Buffalos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Eagles are ranked 102nd).

Prairie View dropped their record down to 2-10-1 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wellsville, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-1.

Prairie View will challenge Santa Fe Trail at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wellsville has already played their next match (against Osawatomie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
