Baseball Recap: Howe Wins Going Away Against Village Tech

While Howe didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over the Village Tech Viper Squid on Friday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

Braden Ulmer was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Garrett Rodgers was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Howe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Village Tech only posted an OBP of .267.

Howe has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.8 runs. Village Tech is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Howe will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Commerce at 12:00 p.m. on March 15th. As for Village Tech, they will challenge Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
