Baseball Recap: Hill Takes a Loss

Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-7 to the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aztec Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

AJ Meraz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times he's played. Robert Bocanegra also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Yerba Buena, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

While Hill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
