Baseball Recap: Mt. Diablo Red Devils vs. Richmond Oilers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Lorenzo, Mt. Diablo was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Richmond Oilers 13-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Devils considering their two-run performance the match before.

Luis Chub Caal made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Chub Caal was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-4. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Johnny Vazquez, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Anthony Scallin also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
