Soccer Game Preview: Mars Hill Bible vs. Guntersville

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Mars Hill Bible take on the Guntersville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Monday, Mars Hill Bible didn't have quite enough to beat James Clemens and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Jets: they've now lost five in a row.

Parker Kennemer and Kalen Bingham scored both of Mars Hill Bible's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Guntersville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Golden Eagles a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won three matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Mars Hill Bible's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Guntersville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Mars Hill Bible came out on top in a nail-biter against Guntersville in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, sneaking past 4-3. Will Mars Hill Bible repeat their success, or does Guntersville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
