Volleyball Recap: Corona Comes Up Short

Corona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hawthorne Math & Science Academy Aviators.

Corona's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Hawthorne Math & Science Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Corona will head out to square off against Aquinas at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hawthorne Math & Science Academy, they will square off against California Academy of Math & Science at 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday. California Academy of Math & Science will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hawthorne Math & Science Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
