Paul VI took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They strolled past the Saint James Saints with points to spare, taking the game 25-6. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row dating back to last season.

Hudson Akin threw for 156 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. Christian Rutland was his top target, picking up 89 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Keyon Johnson rushed for 180 yards and a pair of TDs.

This is the second loss in a row for Saint James and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Paul VI will welcome St. Michael the Archangel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saint James, they are taking a road trip to face off against Kiski School at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
