Softball Recap: Pendleton Heights Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kokomo on Tuesday, Pendleton Heights came back down to earth. The Arabians fell just short of the Noblesville Millers by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. If the Arabians were looking for revenge after losing 6-4 to the Millers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Aubrey Fox made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Avry Miller was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pendleton Heights now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Noblesville, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-4 record.

Looking ahead, Pendleton Heights will take on Hamilton Southeastern at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Arabians' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Noblesville, they will welcome Decatur Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Millers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
