Baseball Recap: Harnett Central Trojans vs. Triton Hawks

Harnett Central entered their tilt with Triton with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Triton Hawks on Tuesday and snuck past 2-1. That's more bragging rights for Harnett Central, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Harnett Central's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Sears, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Sears has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

On Triton's side, Tucker Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

Terry Sanford is coming into the contest with six straight wins at home, so Harnett Central will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
