Volleyball Recap: Barack Obama School for Social Justice Takes a Loss

Barack Obama School for Social Justice lost against Roosevelt on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lightning lost 3-0 to the Sharks. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Roosevelt scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 25-20.

Tyanna Reyes paced Barack Obama School for Social Justice's offense, picking up six kills. Reyes got some help from Jayanna Humbert and her eight assists. Humbert was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Riverside on the 26th. Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
